The blessings of sleep, night, and day
Reading preferences
Before reading
Sleep as rest, night as a covering, and day for livelihood. Reflection material, without prescribing a dedicated prayer recitation. A verse teaching remembrance or discussing healing does not itself prescribe a special recitation of that verse.
Quran · 78:9–11
Meaning
We made your sleep a rest, the night a covering, and the day a time for livelihood.
